eCalton has recently been sold by Calton, Inc. to our own Vice President of Operations, Greg Bray. While we will continue business as usual, with the current eCalton staff offering our same fantastic Web development team's services and Web tools, eCalton will now be an affiliate of Bray Web Development, Inc. and will no longer be affiliated with Calton, Inc.
We hope that you will share our excitement and enthusiasm at this change in our ownership. It is very fitting that Mr. Bray will now be President of eCalton, because he has been managing our operations for the past five years and through his leadership and guidance we have grown our staff, services and client base. We anticipate that the only noticeable change for our clients will be that we will no longer have a headquarters office in Vero Beach, Florida as we will consolidate our headquarter operations out of our Melbourne, Florida office. Mr. Bray is an experienced programmer competent in HTML, ColdFusion, SQL and C/C++, with strong database development and project management skills. He is a technical expert in all aspects of Web site development ranging from networking to site navigation, programming and page design.
Bray started with eCalton in December 1999 as a Senior Web Developer and Project Leader. In July 2000 he was promoted to Director of Web Development, overseeing the company’s technical staff, which at that time was over 20 employees. Since May 2001, when he was named Vice President of Operations, he has been responsible for the overall day to day operations of the company. This has included tasks such as: product definition and pricing, company staffing, resource allocation, marketing and sales support, office management, equipment and supply purchasing, interfacing with accounting and human resource managers, client management and conflict resolution, and the overall quality and delivery of the company’s services.
Prior to joining eCalton, Bray was a Lead Web Developer for Research Triangle Institute in Research Triangle Park, NC. While at Research Triangle Institute, he led the development team for many complex Web-application projects. Some of these included the EPA's Solvent Alternatives Guide (SAGE), a Web-based expert system application, the EPA's Electric Utility Mercury Data Collection project, a secure Web-based data entry and statistical reporting application, the Department of Defense's Survey of Health Related Behaviors Among Military Personnel, which featured a secure extranet application to support domestic and internationally based survey field teams, and the US Department of Labor's Occupational Information Network (O*NET), an advanced Web-based survey application.
Mr. Bray combines strong marketing, managerial and computer science skills with his experience in Internet technology. He has a Masters of Business Administration degree, emphasis in e-Commerce, from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, from Brigham Young University.
